A good thing you can do is get some sound effects at home and bring them with you to school, since finding sound effects you want on a school network where many things are blocked isn't always the most fun thing to do.
Write down the type of sound effects you need, go home, find a couple of each ones that you need so you have a small handful to choose from, then you can put them into the video with your choice of video editing program.
