An art trade I'm doing with a new art style, using only a texture brush in Krita Hope you like it! Critiques are appreciated!

Hey guys!

This is a mix between 2D and 3D animation made by four people. Krist focused completely on the 3D animation and camera aspects. Kyanna focused on concept art of both the character, objects, and background settings. Zach primarily focused on sound effects. and I focused on the 2D art and animation aspects (character, background, monster).

This took a few weeks to complete and we are very happy with the outcome of the animation!

So, I'm making a gift for my little sister and she loves fairies. I am working on this and I wanted to post it for critiques for future fairies! I AM using basically only one brush for coloring this; in Krita, I'm using only the Sponge_Texture brush for something "new". I am also using a new style in drawing humanoids so of course she looks off. Any help would be appreciated and I WILL be posting this later when it's finished! Thank you!

I love how detailed this is and the sound effects for it are perfect; the only problem I have with this is that the logo for it is too light. I cannot make it out or what it says, even when the flash of light goes over it.

EDIT/ Video was too fast, so I deleted the original video and replaced it with this slower version, hopefully it's much better.

Hey guys!

I have to say: it was a challenge. Maya definitely hates me, and you can ask any of my classmates: Maya has a thing out for me! I was originally going to do a logo that involved my mascot (the black and red ox that's my icon), but whatever I wanted to do with it to make it art related, cool, etc... Maya refused to cooperate with me to the point I had to restart numerous times on just my first idea!

So I went with a second idea that seemed like it would be easier for my logo but yet again, I was unable to. Even my friend helped me with it (which he helped me a lot) and even it took him a majority of the class period to get Maya to work for him on something simple. And he has good luck with Maya so I knew I was going to be screwed with this second idea.

So, in a final act of desperation, I went with an idea that seemed like the simplest thing to pull off. Something that I loved seeing.... a scary movie logo!

I love scary movies so I felt like I could make this work without much help. And, of course, I needed help with a few things in this project but not really this time with this idea. I was happy with how this came out and I think I did a good job despite the many times I wanted to crawl under my bed and just not choose life anymore.

I know it's a bit dark and goes a bit faster than I had originally anticipated but I feel like I got the scary down alright.

I like the added props in the setting, using more than what was provided for you in the setting, which is creative and I like that concept a lot. What I would suggest is perhaps make it a bit more obvious on what kind of style you're going for as some parts look realistic and others look cartoonish. Also, perhaps make the hair color of the heads more realistic colored as I do feel the creepy vibe of the setting but the hair color for the heads throws me off of that feeling easily, in my opinion.

What I like about it:
What I like about this animation is how smooth this entire process was for me, I'll have to admit: it was difficult with this at the beginning but moving the face to make the expressions then just taking steps instead of doing things all at once made this project enjoyable.

What I dislike about it:
The blinking overlapped, blinking is slow at end, and the mouth movement had to be quick to match the voice. There is no "R" movement for the mouth at the end.
