Can you help me with step 11?  I am using Gimp, and trying to get the three point lighting for my 2d to 3d character project.

I have a problem with how fast the camera moves.  It's fast and jerky, which I don't think is good.  Try to make the camera changes slower and smoother.  Otherwise, pretty good!

Looks really good, but I think that hiding parts of the model allows you to guess at what the whole looks like, adding to the drama of the scene.  It's a little unbalanced because the wall isn't prominent enough to counter the visual weight of the motorcycle and the guy on it.  In addition, you might want to consider replacing the model's location.  Using the rule of thirds, the main center of attention is on the motorcycle, instead of on the person (which you probably want the attention to be).

It's blocked in school, so you'll have to be at home in order to watch it.  I'm planning on tonight getting a walls closing sound (like in that Star Wars scene) but with stone grating, a creepy rustling and falling sound.  Any tips for improving it will be great!

Edit: I'm wrong, it plays while at school.  Facepalm.

I had to turn off the glow option in the render settings because there were these weird white points of light that kept popping up in the render that corresponded to none of the actual lights I had set (could have been the base lights, but I doubt it).

Good news!  I got the image to have lighting closer to the original render by adding a brightness/contrast filter in Photoshop (Brightness: 150, Contrast: -50).  The teacher told about that.

So I tried to have the still life look romantic (lighting, color scheme, etc.).  The shadows lead your eye off of the picture, but otherwise, I think I did pretty well.  The problem is that when I converted the image, it got a whole lot darker than the initial render was.  I tried to get around the problem by saving in different formats, but nothing worked.  If you could give me any advice on how to fix that, it would be great.  I'll talk with the teacher about it.

The cone looking thingy is the candle, it didn't render how it was supposed to because of tessellation issues in rendering.   If you could tell me  what you think about the composition, it would be very useful.  Thanks.

I like the surrealist quality of the piece, but did you intend for the light to not seem to come from any light source?  I mean, it could add to the surrealist quality, but it's kind of confusing to me.  Otherwise, pretty good.  I liked the information about hand painted textures.

There are two main problems with your still life, in my opinion.  The first is that the objects you put in have a different art style, so the contrast with the background emphasizes your objects, but creates a serious art style clash.  It's like when a background is projected behind a person from a green screen, you can tell that from the real thing because of the light difference between the background and the person.  This prevents the image from having unity.  Another problem is that your objects don't have shadows, which also is a huge reason why it feels like the objects were just pasted in.  This also messes with the unity.  In addition, your candle is too hard edged and your hammer also seems to have have a lot of aliasing.  However, your composition and texturing looks fine to me.  In short, please try to make the objects fit more into the image.

The textures and modeling are good, the composition is good (I think) the lighting is okay but not really that interesting, but the background is the main problem.  It doesn't really make sense for that still life just to be sitting on the floor.  In addition, is the skateboard touching the wall, because otherwise it shouldn't be able to stand up due to gravity.  The setting makes the still life feel forced and artificial.  My advice is you should focus on making the environment seem like the still life could actually be there.

Looks great, but consider making the shadows a little darker.

I'm still in modeling phase.  I am trying to make an hibiscus flower (with stem and leaves) and later a candelabra.  If you have any advice on how to make those models, that would be great.

So I made this to resemble as much as possible a scene from Slenderman the Eight Pages.  I tried making everything a shade of blue (I should have  just made all of the lights blue (including ambient) and used some different colored textures) to inspire horror. Due to the way I put the stars at the windows, I couldn't get that faint blue starlight (new moon) from the windows (I added the starscape by texturing it on a plane outside of each of the two visible windows).  Added a bit of static in Krita to the original render image to imply that Slenderman is coming, but am not sure if I should have added more.

So what do you think?
